When the muscles and ligaments supporting a woman’s pelvic organs weaken, the pelvic organs can slip out of place (prolapse). Symptoms of pelvic prolapse include feeling pressure from pelvic organs pressing against the vaginal wall, feeling very full in your lower belly, feeling as if something is falling out of your vagina, having pain in your vagina during sex, having problems with your bowels and having bladder problems. Pelvic organ prolapse may be related to urination difficulty or incontinence.

The Jackson Clinic Urologists specialize in female urology and urogynecology. They have trained under some of the pioneers in the field of female urology and incontinence, and continue to incorporate the latest advances and techniques to their practice.

Treatment

Prolapse surgery — uterine and vaginal vault, bladder or rectal — can be performed as a traditional open surgery or robotically by the highly trained Urology physicians at The Jackson Clinic.
