In order to detect illness in the veins and arteries of a patient, The Jackson Clinic offers minimally invasive arteriogram procedures. This procedure provides an x-ray of the blood vessels, using a dye injected into an artery. The procedure may be used to examine arteries and veins in many parts of the body, including the legs, kidneys, brain and heart. As a diagnostic tool, an arteriogram is often performed in conjunction with other procedures, such as CT scans, MRI’s or ultrasounds.
Arteriograms are performed to detect abnormalities of the blood vessels, such as: aneurysms, narrowing or spasming in the blood vessels, thrombosis or occlusion.
If your doctor recommends arteriogram to diagnose disease or illness of the blood vessels, ask about the minimally-invasive procedure at The Jackson Clinic.
