Dr. Jere Hammond

"I came to the Jackson Clinic in 1981; my brother-in-law, Dr. Russell Robbins, and my brother, Steve Hammond, preceded me. I joined a strong and talented group of internal medicine doctors and got to meet some of the original founders as well, including Dr. Leland Johnston and Dr. Baker Hubbard.

The Jackson Clinic has been a great place to work. I often tell people that when you have smart people around you in all of the specialties of medicine, it can’t help but make you excited and wanting to get better. After over 40 years, I still enjoy seeing patients, spending most of my patient-centered time in post-acute and long-term care facilities.

I also enjoy the administrative part of medicine, and my position as associate medical director. Makes me thankful for the great group of leaders we have here. Today, the Clinic is going through many changes, but remains a very strong patient-centered multi-specialty group that I’m proud to be a part of!"
