What are walk-ins?
Walk-ins are 1 of 3 ways that sick pediatric patients can be seen by one of our pediatric physicians.

How do walk-ins work?
Sick children come to the reception desk and are signed in as a walk-in.

Who sees walk-in patients?
Walk-in patients are seen by the first pediatrician that has availability.

Can I request to see a specific doctor?
Walk-in patients are seen on a first come first serve basis by the next pediatrician with availability. To see a specific doctor, please call appointments before coming. You may also call the nurse to request a work in appointment.

How long will I wait for a walk-in appointment?
Wait times will vary depending on the number of walk-in patients waiting and the number of pediatricians working.

When are walk-ins available?
Walk-ins are available Mon-Fri 8:30am - 4:30pm, Sat and Sun 9am -11 am 

Can I get a check up, sports physical or ADD evaluation through the walk-in process?
Walk-in appointments are designed to guarantee access for sick children. They are not designed to provide care for routine visits or for evaluation of chronic problems.

Can I walk-in to see a nurse for shots, questions, etc…?
It is best to schedule nurse only visits. You may call and speak with a nurse to do this.

What are the other ways to have a sick child seen by a pediatrician?
You may call the appointments line at 731.422.0213 to schedule an appointment. If there is no acceptable appointment available, you may ask to speak to with a physician’s nurse to see if a work-in appointment with your doctor of choice can be obtained.
