The Jackson Clinic Cardiology Department Recently Accredited for Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory

(Jackson, TN) The Cardiology Department of The Jackson Clinic, which includes Dr. John Baker, Dr. C. Jason Cherry, Dr. James Crenshaw, Dr. Sandra Dee, Dr. T. James Humphreys, Dr. Michael Osayamen, Dr. Tony Phillips and Dr. Thomas Salvucci, was granted accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL).

The Jackson Clinic’s nuclear cardiology laboratory is one of the first in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico to be so recognized for its commitment to high quality patient care and its provision of quality diagnostic testing.

Nuclear cardiology testing is a noninvasive procedure that allows physicians to detect the presence of cardiovascular disease and may also discover important information regarding the occurrence of heart attacks. The ICANL accreditation program evaluates the quality of both the physician and technologist administering nuclear cardiology testing as well as other critical elements of the laboratory.
