Clinical psychologists are healthcare professionals who evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental, emotional, adjustment, or behavioral health problems. They use a variety of methods to prevent or treat mental or behavioral health problems in individuals (children, adolescents and adults), couples, and families who are dealing with psychological and/or physical health issues or any other type of stressor.

Pediatric Psychology

Childhood psychology is a branch of traditional psychology that centers on children, particularly their development and behavior. Today, it is one of the most popular branches of psychology as an umbrella covering patients from birth to teenage years.

Pediatric psychologists evaluate and treat the same health issues as any other psychologist, with a focus on helping children and their families cope with stressors and crises. They also typically handle developmental delays, issues with behavior, social abilities, and emotional/mental development.

At The Jackson Clinic, we want to make sure parents have the opportunity to provide their children with any type of care they need. Options available through our pediatric psychology department include:

  • Therapy
  • Psychological assessments
  • Evaluations for autism spectrum disorders and ADHD

Dr. Chelsey Wylde follows best practice guidelines for assessments, therapy and utilizes evidenced based treatments.
